When the light beer was recognized as good and allowed in the people, the owner of Valmiermuiža thought that it would be good to brew another one. After questioning the men of the area, he found out that half a century ago dark beer brewed in the brewery of a nearby kolkhoz was held in great esteem - dark and sweet. At the same time, he tasted dozens of different varieties of dark beer from all over Europe. Well, the dark beer of Valmiermuiža combines both the flavors of distant lands and the wishes of local beer lovers.
Beer is brewed in compliance with the Beer Purity Law. It uses three malts - Pilsen, Munich and dark caramel. Both the taste and the smell are enriched by two types of hops - 'Hallertauer Nugget', 'Hallertauer Mittelfrüh'. The beer was aged for 45 days and naturally, leisurely fermented to a strength of up to 5.8 percent. It is live and unpasteurized beer.
